Techstra is seeking an experienced Senior Software Systems Analyst. This is a hands-on role bridging software requirements from functional specifications to technical specifications / user stories for development teams. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Java based Microservice application development in the GCP cloud. The candidate will have hands on Spark experience in heavy data App/Dev environments (non-Big Data) and a deep understanding of GCP data related tools such as DataProc, Pub/Sub, Data Composer.

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborates with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications 

  • Documents system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems 

  • Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security 

  • Participates in requirement gathering and stakeholder agreement meetings; 

  • Designs high-level software, develops high-level product specifications, and determines technical standards 

  • Management expertise from a business and/or technology perspective is a plus! 

  

Qualifications: 

  • 8 years implementing software applications using agile development practices. 

  • Demonstrated experience writing user stories for technical teams 

  • 3 years Developing Java/Spring Boot applications 

  • 3 years Spark development in data heavy microservice applications (non-Big Data) 

  • Experience with GCP containerized applications and DataProc desirable. 

  • 2 years: Leading Application Design sessions, prototyping 

  • Strong analysis skills, with a proven track record of delivery of sophisticated technology projects 

  • Good interpersonal, relationship management and facilitation skills. You are a strong contributor with a collaborative work style 

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with business partners and technology 

  • Ability to have trade-off conversations with business partners
